   Thank you for your interest in serving your community. Currently applications are open to fill an open seat on the Fire Civil Service & Board of Appeals and an opening on the Owatonna Public Commission - Ward 1 effective May 1, 2026 when the term of the current members has expired.  

   Please indicate below the board or commission which you would like to be appointed to. Eligibility requirements  to serve as a member of a board or commission, you must be an eligible voter and a resident of Owatonna who has maintained residence in the city for thirty (30) days before appointment. This OPU appointment also requires a resident from Ward 1. Your application will be kept on file for one year. Please select your interest:
